Versace Atelier Haute Couture: Slicked back hair with loose, natural waves. As seen recently on Camilla Belle and Kim Kardashian. Paired with a smokey eye with green accents.
Ocassion: A night out, as the nude lip balances the look. The hair is more versatile, and can be styled for any special occasion.
Tip: The green is perfect for green eyes (or flecks of green) and can be substituted with blue or gold for blue or brown eyes.
Christian Dior Haute Couture: A slightly more bold 'statement'. A strong yet natural brow shape, with winged eyeliner. The look is rather understated, bar the jeweled lips. These were applied in reds and pinks for the show. I'm not the biggest fan of the hair, TBH a lot of people were confused, the girls were given pixie styles with a lot of gel to give it that undone look.
Occasion: Again, these statement colours are best kept for nights out or if you're feeling particularly adventurous.
Tip: You don't need short hair to pull off this edgy combination. Substitute the jewels for lipgloss with glitter and a high sheen. Additionally, discard the theme of Edward Scissor-hands hair. Try something like this
Jean Paul Gaultier Couture: It seems Amy Winehouse made a lasting impression on the fashion industry, as yet again beehives made a buzz. This show definitely had a punk rock zest to it; a smokey winged eye with glowing skin and nude lips.
Occasion: As this is couture, take what you see at face value. We are thankfully not expected to recreate these exact looks. Try a smaller 'beehive' like this. As for the makeup, it's perfectly neutral so for a daytime look only apply the upper lid shadow.
Tip: As always, experiment with colours and shades. For darker skin, try a berry lip stain or a stronger brow for evening time.
These are my top picks of the recent s/s 2013 shows. Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of these looks.
