Holiday Lookbook: Day 1

UPDATE: I'm creating a new blog, to sync with my youtube channel. Check my twitter/youtube/social media for the link. This one will stay up, but will probably be inactive.
This is an outfit I wore to go to a place called 'Malta' in Poland where my cousin and I went swimming in a really fun water park. Growing up I used to love those so much, so of course we went twice on separate occasions!

What I'm Wearing:

H+M Crop Top
Amaris (bought at TK MAXX) harem trousers
Primark Flip Flops
'Love' Necklace
Italian Leather Handbag

There will be about 6 more posts everyday from now with OOTD from my vacation. Follow me on bloglovin' or with your google account so you don't miss out :)

SALES Alert Westfield Haul: Jewelry,Fashion,Makeup

Now that the summer sales season is upon us, I had to head down to Westfield to check out the selection. I went with a good friend of mine, which always makes shopping more fun.
Here are items I picked up:

Piz Buin Allergy Spray, as I have sensitive skin even more so in the sun and with SPF 30 this should help control the strong effects of the sun. This was £8.99 from Boots. (A recommendation from Fleurdeforce)
I wanted to review the new CC creams and film a comparison between those and BB creams, this was again on offer in the BOGOHP deal.
This is a gift for a friend (the one I went with!) I've heard amazing things about Soap & Glory from other bloggers so I'll be sure to try this out for myself.
Sinful Colours is now stocked in Boots and possibly other drugstores, and at £1.99 you can't go wrong! I picked up this lovely yet bright sparkly blue.

The shop USC always has a great selection, and their jewelry stock did not dissapoint. I chose this somewhat hipster-y bracelets but for £1 how could I not? They are so light and dainty.
Again from USC I chose this lovely chain link bracelet which looks better in person, it's a woven design with orange and shimmery gold thread. The tassle and charm just added a little something extra.
Of course, I couldn't not pick up another Real Techniques brush, this is new to my collection and it's an uber soft setting brush for contouring with a light powder.

Last but not least I went into La Senza to have a look at their sale and pick up some necessities, ladies, if you're on the lookout for cute bras and such take a look here, it's like a more affordable Victoria's Secret!

Cute DIY Bracelets: Cheap & Chic

Hi everyone,

Today's post is something a little bit different, and somewhat ambitious. I decided to try out DIY jewelry. I used to do this quite a lot, and as I have time on my hands during the summer I rediscovered this fun hobby.

All you need is: String - Beads - Scissors

I like to use stretchy string which you can pick up in places like Hobby Craft. It's easier to use and you can make tighter bracelets. As you can see, I tend to cut the remaining string at the end but it can give a nice effect if you leave it, making it look more 'homemade'.

These kind of bracelets have even come back into style recently and I've seen these all over the high street! They are very bright, and mismatched so if this isn't your style you can use more grown up beads, which I've seen lots of in bead shops (although they are more expensive) to give your jewelry the appearance of high end make.

Do you guys enjoy DIY?

I'll be posting some DIY videos very soon so don't forget to subscribe (it's free!) to my Youtube channel:

I won yet another magazine competition, I cannot believe it!

But first off, I bought Glamour July 2013 edition, (UK) and received this fab Model & Co eyeliner pencil. It has a built in sharpener which is so useful for those of us who prefer them to liquid eyeliners. And for just £2 I would recommend you snap up a magazine as they come with a few different gifts.

Next, the item I won! The new Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in 'Oh So Cosmo'
The last two pictures are the product applied, it has a faint taste of mint which I quite like rather than the artificial feeling of most lipglosses. It applies so smoothly and is not at all sticky. It's one of the best lipglosses I've tried. These retail for £16 or so but as I love this brand, I'm considering picking up another colour.

What do you guys think?

NOTD: Queen of Hearts

I wanted to try something weird, slightly crazy and possibly dangerous?!

With these weird trends lately of sticking everything but the kitchen sink on your nails, and shaping them like claws I thought I'd give it a go!

Step 1: I used a multi-purpose base coat,Rimmel 5 in 1 Base & Top Coat, after filing my nails into the desired shape (in this case, what the heart desires)*
Step 2: I used LA Colors Nail Lacquer in Mauve Glaze as a base coat, and making the nails an opaque-ish colour.

Step 3: Using a stencil to design the heart shapes, dipping it onto the brush from the bottle. I also use the bottle brush to paint small strokes in the middle. I used Bourjois Shade 7.
Step 4:  Sally Hansen Super Shine 'Shiny Top Coat'. It really gives a smoothing, glossy effect to your nails.
This is the stencil I used, it's really a lip brush but works the best unless you have one of those small nail brushes.

Difficulty: 7/10 It was quite messy and took ages to perfect it, but practice makes perfect. Next time I will use a different colour as a base so my nails look less witchy!

I will film the next NOTD tutorial on my channel so don't forget to subscribe!

Easy Peasy: Rasberry Trifle

I decided to cook and bake for Father's Day as my family and I are such foodies!
I made a really easy tomato prawn dish for the main course ( let me know if you want that recipe) and for desset a easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy rasberry trifle.
It took less than 15 minutes, including picture taking time.

This is from the Donna Hay cookbook, but don't quote me on that. I kind of went by my own taste and I never follow recipes through and through.
I added lady finger biscuits which add a crunchy texture to the otherwise liquid, smooth taste. Then I poured orange licquer, about a teaspoon per cup. You can add sherry instead.
Then I took some frozen 'forest* fruits' although that's a random somewhat misleading name as the origins of these fruits is the farthest thing from a forest! *factory...
Then I lazily put them in the microwaveand added more from the frozen packet (which I defrosted for an hour) and mixed a tablespoon of icing sugar in.
This is how lovely it looked by this point!
Then comes the really delicious part - mascarpone (my computer is trying to correct this to mascara?!) single cream and more icing sugar.
Then a dash of vanilla extract and presto...
You can also add fruit on the top for decoration

I love cooking, and hopefully I'll remember to document more recipes to share with you guys, it can be really easy and I'm no Nigella Lawson so if I can do it you guys can too!
